What is a Virtual SMSTS Course?

This is an Online, Live Virtual Classroom 5-day CITB SMSTS course delivered using Zoom. This course is a direct replacement for the classroom course as it is trainer-led, which means the trainer will be teaching you in real-time. The SMSTS course will teach you everything you will need to know about the responsibilities and legal obligations when it comes to managing the safety of a construction site. On completion of your course, you will have an extensive understanding of the health and safety code of practice and how to enforce it on site.

We have been running virtual online CITB courses using Zoom Classroom since 2020, and we have put a lot of time and effort into the virtual course’s development to make it a real long-term alternative to classroom courses.

Your trainer will deliver the course online in real-time, so your experience of the CITB SMSTS course is engaging and interesting. If you have any questions your trainer is there, live, to support your understanding every step of the way.

The course has been adapted to keep you actively involved in the group discussions and activities by using break-out rooms for small group work, online quizzes and polling and survey tools.
