What is the NHSS 12D T1 T2 course?
The NHSS 12D T1 T2 Static Works on Single Carriageways course provides training in temporary traffic management on single carriageway roads, particularly for short-duration and mobile works. Lantra developed this course in accordance with the National Highway Sector Scheme (NHSS) standards to help individuals attain Registered Traffic Management Operative (RTMO) status. Throughout the course, delegates will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic management systems on low-speed roads.
There are two sections to the course: T1 and T2, each covering distinct areas of traffic management. Specifically, T1 serves as an entry module covering Module 1 (M1). This module concludes with a test paper. Building on this foundation, in T2, you’ll complete Module 2 (M2) with a test paper and centre-based assessments. Once completed, the NHSS 12D T1 T2 course allows you to carry out mobile works and short-duration works on rural and urban single carriageway roads.
