What is IPAF Harness Awareness, User & Inspection (HA, HU & HI) Training?

This IPAF‑approved course brings together the Harness Awareness (HA), Harness User (HU) and Harness Inspection (HI) modules to give delegates a complete understanding of how to work safely with personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) when operating MEWPs. It provides clear, practical guidance on choosing the right harness and lanyard, fitting equipment correctly and using it in line with legislation and IPAF best practice.

Delegates also learn how to carry out effective pre‑use checks and formal inspections, recognising signs of wear, damage or defects and knowing when equipment must be removed from service. By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to select, use and inspect harness equipment safely and competently in MEWP environments.
