What is Abrasive Wheels Training?
On this course, you will learn how to work safely when using abrasive wheels, recognise hazards and know the relevant safety legislation and good practice.
The Abrasive Wheels Training course is for people who are required to use an abrasive wheel as part of their job, or operatives who need to learn how to safely select, fit and mount abrasive wheels and discs on portable machines. Abrasive wheels are essential equipment in many industries and job roles, it is important for those using abrasive wheels to be trained properly.
The HSE reports that nearly half of accidents involving abrasive wheels are due to operator error or unsafe systems of work. Wheels should only be fitted by a competent person – Abrasive Wheels Training helps to reduce accidents by teaching delegates the correct way to maintain and use the equipment.
