What to expect from your course
The NEBOSH National General Certificate runs over 10 days. You will also need a day to complete your assessment at a later date.
The course is split into NG1 and NG2:
- NEBOSH Unit NG1 – Management of Health and Safety
- NEBOSH Unit NG2 – Risk Assessment
By the end of your NEBOSH National General Certificate course, you will be able to:
- Assist in the planning, implementation and review of an organisation’s health & safety policy
- Understand the requirements of HSE legislation, codes of practice and the prosecution process
- Confidently undertake risk assessments and recommend suitable action
- Develop and implement a detailed action plan
- Investigate accidents and prepare reports in line with HSE legislation
- Identify common hazards in the workplace and recommend suitable corrective measures
