Kat has been a vital part of our company since 2006, embodying the family’s legacy of commitment and passion. Joining the training team early in her career, she quickly distinguished herself as an indispensable member of our leadership. Today, as Training Director, Kat is instrumental in upholding the high standards that have come to define our family business. She oversees service delivery, employee development, branding, accreditation, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that each facet of our operation reflects our core values. Kat’s leadership is pivotal in maintaining the familial culture of PSS, nurturing a sense of community and continuity that sets us apart in the industry.

Peter Ely, Managing Director of Project Skills Solutions

Peter Ely

Managing Director

Peter is the Managing Director of Project Skills Solutions, a family business he started with Kay in 2004. Over the past 20 years, Peter, along with a great team, has built the company into a leader in training, electrical, and cabling solutions. With 50 years of experience in the Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, and MOD industries, Peter’s extensive technical and project management expertise have been key to the company’s success.
Peter began his career as an Apprentice with STC and has been championing Project Skills Solutions’ apprenticeship program for the last 15 years, helping many apprentices become valuable members of the team. Passionate about the company he has built, Peter has no intention of retiring any time soon.
He values meaningful professional relationships and actively seeks to engage with industry peers and potential clients. His dedication to innovation and meticulous service is central to Project Skills Solutions’ ethos.


Kay Ely

Finance Director

Kay started Project Skills Solutions with Peter in 2004 and has been the backbone of the company’s financial decisions. As Financial Director, her strategic insights and meticulous attention to detail have guided the ambitions of the other directors, ensuring sound financial reasoning in every decision.

Over the past 20 years, Kay has expertly navigated numerous financial challenges, including the 2008 downturn, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the recent cost of living crisis. Her expertise and resilience have ensured that Project Skills Solutions remains financially sound through these turbulent times.

Kay manages all financial operations, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and collaborating closely with clients’ accounts teams to secure prompt & correct payments. Her leadership has been crucial in maintaining the financial health and stability of Project Skills Solutions

Theresa Childs

Training Services Manager

Theresa joined PSS in 2016, bringing with her a robust background in sales and customer service that has since transformed our client engagement strategies. As the Training Services Manager, she oversees all client accounts with a dynamic approach and an unwavering commitment to excellence in customer satisfaction and service delivery. Theresa’s leadership is characterized by her tireless efforts to mentor and inspire the training team, continually driving our sales forward and expanding our client base. Her effective communication skills ensure that every client understands and experiences the full value of our training services, making her an invaluable asset to our company.

Will Everson

Training Team Leader

Joining the PSS team in 2019 as a business administration apprentice, Will demonstrated an ability to learn and take on challenging tasks, particularly in IT, software systems, and processes. Recognising this, the company enrolled him in a second apprenticeship as a team leader. Now with his extensive knowledge and newly developed skills, he supports our team, clients and suppliers, keeping everything running smoothly.

Joanne Williams

Quality and Course Planner

Joanne joined the team in 2017 as part of the customer service team. She now schedules all of the courses which PSS deliver, making sure that the quality of the courses delivered are met or exceed awarding body standards. Running audits on the trainers and completing all of the administration of working with the awarding bodies. 

Dean Farrell

Customer Service Specialist

Dean joined PSS in January 2021 and spent his first three months working from home! Having gained extensive knowledge of all courses, he confidently directs our clients to the required course and explains all prerequisites and the best training delivery options. Dean attends to all incoming contact us requests, so you can expect a call as soon as it hits his inbox.

Isabelle Wiles

Customer Service Specialist

Isabelle joined PSS on a customer services apprenticeship at the end of 2022, completing it in record time and with distinction. She is now a valuable member of the team. Izzy has extensive knowledge of our courses and is focussed on providing our clients with the best solutions to their training requirements.

Jo O'Connell

Certification Manager

Jo has worked at PSS since 2008, starting in the sales team and having worked in several roles as the company has developed. Jo can turn her hand to most things. Recently, she took on the important role of certification manager, ensuring candidates get their certificates and cards issued as soon as possible. Jo works three days a week, Monday through Wednesday, allowing her to be a busy mum of two boys.

Bailey Everson

Business Administration Apprentice

Bailey has joined the PSS Team as a business administration apprentice having just completed his A levels. He will be learning all the skills required to be a valuable member of the training services team. We look forward to his personal and career development with our company.

Marketing Team

Eden Smith

Marketing Manager

Eden joined the Project Skills Solutions (PSS) team in June 2022, stepping into the role of Marketing Manager with a dynamic blend of global experience and expertise. Before joining PSS, she honed her skills at Ford in both Mexico and the UK, where she gained invaluable insights into the nuances of international marketing and management. Her expertise spans multiple sectors, including finance, analytics, and telecommunications. She has been instrumental in developing website launches, implementing SEO-rich content, and driving marketing campaigns that enhance visibility and engagement. At PSS, she works closely with the management team to craft and execute strategic marketing plans that align with our business goals.


Emma Ojukwu

Digital Marketing Executive

Emma Joined the PSS marketing team in June 2024. With a BA in English literature and creative writing, she will be developing our digital content across all media. Experienced in using analytical tools to develop e-mail campaigns and Social media presence, she is a great addition to the marketing team.


Barketing Pawson (Semi Retired)

Tucker has been with the PSS team since 2014. He lives with Peter and Kay but spends his days in the office mostly asleep or trying on his best sad eyes to get treats from anyone willing to provide them. All the team love Tucker and he is often found in various offices being cuddled or asleep under a desk.
